The Power Plant and Environmental Chemistry Committee (PPEC), administered by EPRI since 2015, is an independent, non-profit group of up to 125 professionals, including chemists, engineers, and metallurgists, dedicated to advancing power plant chemistry.
Established in 1936, PPEC fosters collaboration through biannual meetings featuring peer-led presentations, panel discussions, and networking.
Members actively participate via the PowerChem ListServer, sharing expertise and solutions. PPEC is committed to education, innovation, and maintaining an active, vibrant community, with membership requiring nomination, active engagement, and dues to support operations.
The PPEC has membership representation in the states shown on the map, representing 60 companies in 31 states and Canada.
