History

Organization began in February 1936 in Philadelphia, PA as a subcommittee of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI).

Functioned for 88 semi-annual meetings as a subcommittee of EEI and then another 30 as a full committee of EEI.

Held 3 semi-annual meetings as an independent group before joining ASME.

Continued for 36 semi-annual meetings sponsored by ASME.

EPRI Sponsorship of the PPEC began in 2015.
